Days after EC’s direction, J&K transfers 89 govt officials posted in home districts

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has transferred several officials, including deputy commissioners, weeks after the Election Commission directed poll-bound states to transfer officers posted in their home districts. The transfers announced on Thursday night include those of deputy commissioners of Poonch and Bandipora districts, secretaries, commissioners, director generals, managing directors, and directors of several departments.
