Man threatening Choppadandi MLA held

Karimnagar:The Karimnagar Rural police arrested one Yasa Akhilesh Reddy, was taken into custody by the immigration authorities on February 9 at Bengaluru’s Kempe Gowda International Airport, for trying to extort Rs 20 lakh from Congress’ Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam on Tuesday. ACP Shubam Prakash told the media that in September last year, Satyam received a life threat and a WhatsApp call at midnight from a man who demanded `20 lakh from him. The accused was identified as Yasa Akhilesh Reddy, 33, a resident of Bhavaninagar of Boduppal in Rangareddy district. Meanwhile, Akhilesh Reddy was spotted on February 9 at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport.
