‘Cocaine-level addiction’ confirmed? Oreo’s 30 sec of blowtorch heat test goes viral
Live MintA viral internet video showed Oreo biscuits remaining intact even after being blowtorched for around 30 seconds. Netizens shared the clip on X and raised concerns about the ingredients used in the product and claimed that “biscuit contains a compound so addictive scientists say it shares the same effects as cocaine”. Commenting on the ingredients, a user wrote, “Ingredients: Unbleached enriched flour, sugar, palm oil, soybean and/or canola oil, cocoa, high fructose corn syrup, leavening, salt, soy lecithin, chocolate, artificial flavour. There are many flavours of chocolate, but Nabisco uses the formula of, Which combines eight hydrogen atoms, four nitrogen atoms, seven carbon atoms and two oxygen atoms for delicious chocolate ready for consumption. “Another main component would be the sugar in the cookie with a chemical makeup of Combining six carbon atoms with twelve hydrogen atoms and six oxygen atoms,” it noted.
