The first stop of the nationwide tour promotion event for the Quzhou musical Southern Confucianism captivated audiences in Shanghai on April 5. Organizers also arranged a promotional event for Quzhou, featuring the launch of its first batch of cultural and creative products and a Song Dynasty-themed market, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in Southern Confucian culture. Following its Shanghai success, the musical is set to tour 13 other cities, including Haimen, Wuxi, and Taizhou in Jiangsu province, promising to bring the enchanting tale of Southern Confucianism to audiences across the region. Southern Confucianism tells the story of Confucius' 53rd-generation direct descendant, Kong Zhu, who returns to Qufu in Shandong province, the birthplace of Confucius, to safeguard the family ancestral temple after living in Quzhou for a century.
