Formula E-cars arrive in city
Deccan ChronicleHYDERABAD: Hyderabad is gearing up to host the country’s first ever Formula E Championship while racing enthusiasts are waiting for the dawn of February 11 when the vicinity around Hussainsagar will come alive to fast cars. Meanwhile, eight cars that will participate in the two-day event landed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad in the early hours of Thursday. Meanwhile, arrangements at NTR Marg are progressing at a brisk pace while there have been periodical inspections of the 2.5 km race-track, especially with regard to their safety and durability as befitting the international event. According to RGIA officials from the cargo division, around 90 tonnes of race car components have also come along with the racing cars by a chartered cargo aircraft from Riyadh.
