Comedian Trevor Noah thought it was funny to crack jokes on India-Pakistan tension, Twitter spews anger
India TV NewsSouth African comedian Trevor Noah, who hosts popular show The Daily Show, during an episode cracked distasteful jokes on ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. In the video which has now gone viral on the social media, the comedian can be heard saying that if India and Pakistan got into the war, it's going to be the most entertaining one. He also commented on how Indians like song and dance while saying that he liked the Indian soldiers’ war cry to Bollywood songs. He also joked about the film’s principal character T’Challa and said that growing up as a boy in Wakanda, he would see T’Challa flying over their village and he would remind them of a great Xhosa phrase, saying, “He says ‘abelungu abazi uba ndiyaxoka’ -- which means, ‘In times like these, we are stronger when we fight together than when we try to fight apart.’” However, people understood that Noah actually said, “White people don’t know I’m lying”.
