Red water floods streets in Hyderabad, causes panic among residents

India Today

Residents of Venkatadri Nagar, near Jeedimetla Industrial Estate in Hyderabad, were alarmed on Monday evening when red-coloured water erupted from a manhole, flooding the streets. The spill caused a strong stench, leaving many residents struggling to breathe and raising health concerns. Officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Telangana Pollution Control Board visited the area to inspect the situation. This incident follows another case at Bapughat, where locals stopped a truck driver from dumping industrial waste into the Musi river.
