Man stabbed to death on Vlissingen street

A 48-year-old man was stabbed to death on Kasteelstraat in the heart of Vlissingen overnight. The emergency services received the first report of the stabbing at around 00:05 a.m. First responders found the injured man on the street, lying near a home, the police said. According to NOS, the Vlissingen mayor declared the city’s center a security risk area two months ago due to several violent incidents. The police are allowed to preventively frisk anyone in the Vlissingen city center until mid-March.
