Megan Rapinoe to retire after 2023 WSL season
The HinduMegan Rapinoe, one of the most iconic soccer players and personalities in the history of the game, has announced that she will retire following the conclusion of the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League season. It’s been a wonderful experience to coach her in the NWSL and for the National Team and I’m looking forward to her being an important part of our team at the World Cup.” Rapinoe had an epic 2019 as she collected numerous prestigious awards including The Best FIFA Women’s Player of the Year, the France Football Ballon d’Or and the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year.
