A spokeswoman for the UK Foreign Office said: “We are supporting the families of two British men following their deaths in Alicante, and are in contact with the Spanish authorities.” “Another British man was involved in the accident, and we are also providing assistance.” The third man was taken to hospital but has since been discharged. All three men were aged in their early twenties, according to The Leader, a newspaper aimed at British expats in the Costa Blanca.
