Puri Jagannath Temple Issues Dress Code For Devotees

Bhubaneshwar: Devotees visiting Lord Jagannath temple at Puri in Odisha will now have to dress themselves decently to offer prayer at the shrine. As per the new dress rules, devotees wearing half-pants, ripped jeans, and sleeveless dresses will be barred from entering the temple. Srimandir managing committee member, Madhav Mohapatra said, “The SJTA requests the devotees to come to the temple wearing proper dress congruous to the temple atmosphere. Anyone found coming to the temple wearing inappropriate attire would be debarred from entering the shrine.” The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration has already made the dress code compulsory for servitors from October 20, 2021.
