Nanavati Commission to submit report by June 30

The Hindu

The Nanavati Commission, which is probing the post-Godhra riots cases, is expected to submit its report by June 30, Minister of State for Home Amit Shah on Friday said. Mr. Shah said the scope of the Commission was expanded by the state government in order to examine the role of ministers including the chief minister. The Nanavati Commission has not called Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for questioning. Mr. Shah said the latest deadline for the commission is June 30 and the commission will hopefully submit the report by that date.
