BRS gears up for battle with govt over Rythu Bharosa

Hyderabad:The BRS on Friday accused the Congress government of attempting to dilute the Rythu Bharosa scheme, and charged the ruling party with “turning farmers into beggars” by seeking applications and undertakings for availing the scheme. Rama Rao said that party will not allow the government to escape from its promise of extending Rythu Bharosa to all farmers, including tenant farmers, as promised by the Congress before the Assembly elections. Rama Rao, addressing a press conference, said the reports that the government will ask for undertakings are designed to create fear among farmers that cases will be filed against them. “We demand that the Cabinet meeting on Saturday declare that Rythu Bharosa will be implemented for all farmers unconditionally,” Rama Rao said.
