Kerala mass murder accused briefly hospitalised after alleged fall

Affan, an accused in five murder cases, including the brutal killings of his family members, in Venjaramoodu, was briefly hospitalised on March 7, 2025, after an alleged fall while locked-up at the Pangode police station. Police sources suspect that Affan may have feigned illness and orchestrated the incident in an attempt to thwart the evidence collection process. Remanded in police custody for three days just the previous day, he is expected to be taken to the site of his grandmother Salma Beevi’s murder at her home in Thazhe Pangode. Despite this setback, the investigation team remains determined to proceed with evidence collection, and Affan will be escorted to the crime scene under tight security.
