Can Sisodia bail breathe new life into beleaguered AAP?
India TodayAam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia’s release on bail after 17 months of incarceration in the liquor policy corruption case has infused a new lease of life into the beleaguered party just months ahead of assembly elections in Haryana and the national capital. The AAP leadership is viewing Sisodia’s bail as not just a legal victory in the saga of the excise policy case but a strategic inflection point that could recalibrate the party’s electoral strategy. “The only agenda of the BJP and Prime Minister Modi is to stop the work of the Kejriwal government in Delhi and break AAP,” alleged Sandeep Pathak, Rajya Sabha MP and AAP general secretary. “All AAP leaders, workers and party handles will start this display picture of Satyamev Jayate as a campaign,” informed Delhi water minister and party leader Atishi.
