Reporter highlights Kamala Harris' most powerful moments from 'Rorschach test' interview
Raw StoryOne of the strongest moments Kamala Harris had during her often confrontational interview with Fox News on Wednesday came when the vice president forcefully defended democracy and hit back at Donald Trump’s increasingly dark rhetoric, according to a New York Times reporter and CNN contributor. Lulu Garcia-Navarro made the analysis shortly after Harris appeared in her first formal interview with Fox News in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, which Garcia-Navarro said went “really good.” “She went into hostile territory and in our media environment it's a Rorschach test, and so everyone's going to take from this what they want,” she told CNN’s Erin Burnett on her show “OutFront.” “There were very strong moments that she had, specifically on defending democracy and on the statements that Donald Trump has made, and that is going to be clipped and that's going to be sent around and people who are persuadable will look at that and say, ‘She did well,’” said Garcia-Navarro. She went on to tell Burnett that "persuadable people" might view the clips of Harris’ responses on immigration “and think she did poorly.” “And that is the environment in which we live,” she continued. And so, she needs to go fight for every vote.” She added that she believes “this was a really good interview.” Watch the clip below or at this link.
