Crime OS helping track and trap cyber criminals faster

Deccan Chronicle

Hyderabad: Crime OS, a tool developed by the Telangana State Police Centre of Excellence for Cyber safety, is coming across as a boon to the police units that handle cybercrime cases. The app, which has recently won a National Crime Records Bureau award, is being used by all 44 police stations under Cyberabad commissionerate and is likely to be extended state-wide. Usually, all cases, including cybercrimes, are investigated based on the modus operandi, while the OS tool assists investigation based on the handles used by the criminals. Police can now get all procedural information at the click of a button and also allows them to digitally track the proceedings, compile replies from service providers, evidence and also the required course of action.
