Amsterdam Covid-19 patient a hospital worker; healthy enough to be quarantined at home

The woman from the Amsterdam region who was diagnosed with coronavirus Covid-19 on Friday is an employee of the Amsterdam UMC, the hospital confirmed on Friday. Her symptoms are minor enough that she can safely be quarantined at her home in Diemen, Aura Timen, spokesperson for public health institute RIVM, said to NOS. "What is very important is that the symptoms allow her to stay at home," Timen said to NPO Radio 1. In a press conference earlier on Friday, Tilburg mayor Theo Weterings said the man was doing well and the health authorities are considering having him quarantined at home.
