EPFO speeds up claim processing, 60% settled via automated system

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation has made considerable progress in clearing advance claims, with 60% of advance withdrawal claims being settled through an automated payment system. This has resulted in the settlement of 2.16 crore claims in the current financial year, a massive increase from 89.52 lakh claims processed in the previous year. Besides, over 99% of claims are being filed online nowadays, with 7.14 crore claims filed digitally till early March 2025. Besides, no employer attestation is required for transfer claims of Aadhaar-verified UANs, thus making things easier for the members.
