Scenic spots in Baiyun prepare for May Day holiday
China DailyMajor scenic spots in Baiyun district, such as Maofeng Mountain, Baiyun Mountain, Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center, and Guangzhou Children's Park have been planning a raft of activities and prepared gifts to citizens and tourists who choose to spend their holiday in the district. A low-carbon walking event will be held at Maofeng Mountain Scenic Spot, where visitors can check on the 1,000-year-old temple, Tianhu Lake, and Red Maple Garden to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and embrace nature. A Chinese rose show will be held at Yuntai Garden, where residents and visitors can enjoy a variety of seasonal flowers and fine Chinese roses, as well as two sets of Chinese rose terraces, to experience the romance of spring in full bloom. Guangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Center will hold a series of activities at the Chinese Studies Experience Hall, incorporating Chinese chess, hard brush calligraphy, Chinese painting, and other art forms to guide children to appreciate the beauty of Chinese studies in traditional classics.
