Pakistan rejoices over Gwadar airport, China dubs it donation

After a Pakistan International Airlines aircraft on Monday landed at the new Gwadar International Airport, it was greeted with the traditional water salute. "The New Gwadar International Airport, a donation by China, officially commenced operations on Monday. Beijing-based Global Times called the new Gwadar International Airport, "a donation by China". "Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Monday that the New Gwadar International Airport in the country's southwest Balochistan province is a shining symbol of the great friendship between China and Pakistan," reported Chinese news agency Xinhua. An X user, Riaz Baloch, called Gwadar International Airport a "part of CPEC's exploitation plan".
