Vijayawada: Commissioner of Guntur Municipal Corporation Puli Srinivasulu on Sunday ordered engineering officials to keep the Undavalli Raw Water Pump House running throughout the day to ensure adequate drinking water supply to Guntur city. Srinivasulu inspected the raw water supply plant and reservoirs in Undavalli on the banks of Krishna river adjacent to Prakasam Barrage and issued instructions to the engineering officials. The commissioner enquired about the capacity of the motors at the plant, the amount of water being pumped to Guntur city everyday, the water levels at Prakasam Barrage and the staff roster. SE Shyam Sundar, EE Srinivas, DEE Sridhar, and Guntur City Rate Payers Association president Narayana Reddy participated in the programme.
