Fighting zombies to playing a psychopath: The many faces of Choi Woo-shik

India Today

Before Parasite made him a global name, Choi Woo-shik had already built an impressive filmography, starring in some of South Korea’s biggest films and dramas. Woo-shik played Kim Ki-woo, the resourceful yet naive son, whose aspirations for a better life ultimately lead to the film’s tragic unravelling. Before Parasite, Woo-shik found himself battling the undead in Train to Busan, one of South Korea’s most iconic zombie films. While the film primarily revolved around Gong Yoo’s character, Woo-shik played Yong-guk, a determined baseball player fighting to protect his girlfriend.
