One Nation senator Malcolm Roberts shares misinformation on COVID-19 vaccine adverse effects

CoronaCheck #59 In today's special Easter edition we look at whether COVID-19 vaccines contain tissue from aborted foetuses and check in with the UK's "Yellow Card" scheme, which is used for reporting vaccine side effects. The original post contained a link to an online publication, "Daily Expose", which UK-based fact checkers Full Fact previously found to be misrepresenting the UK's National Health Service data. "Looking specifically at the mRNA vaccines, on clinical trials, participants who had received the Moderna vaccine were 94 per cent less likely to contract Covid-19 than participants who received the placebo, and none developed ‘severe Covid'," Full Fact said. According to the fact checkers, more recent research by policy think tank the RAND Corporation had concluded that there was "inconclusive evidence for the effect of assault weapon bans on mass shootings".
