Enforcement Directorate interrogates Partha's aide Arpita Mukherjee in Bengal education scam
India TodayA five-member Enforcement Directorate team interrogated Arpita Mukherjee, a close aide of sacked and arrested Trinamool Congress leader Partha Chatterjee, in Alipore women's correctional home in Kolkata in the alleged Bengal education scam on Tuesday. Former minister Partha Chatterjee and his aide Arpita Mukherjee were sent to 14-day judicial custody by a special Public Money Laundering Act court in connection with the multi-crore West Bengal School Service Commission recruitment scam. RAID ON ARPITA MUKHERJEE'S FLATS In the first raid, on July 22, the Enforcement Directorate found Rs 21.90 crore in cash, Rs 56 lakh in foreign currency and gold worth Rs 76 lakh. Arpita Mukherjee later told the ED that the mountain of cash recovered from her home belonged to Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee.
