US targets bronze after Basketball World Cup ‘heartbreak’

The Hindu

Head coach Steve Kerr said the United States “wants to finish this right” as it prepares to face Canada in the Basketball World Cup bronze-medal game on Sunday. US point guard Tyrese Haliburton believes the budding rivalry could be “the start of something that’s going to go on for a while”. We know that they’re going to come for us and we just have to be ready,” Haliburton said. American captain Jalen Brunson said “it sucks but we can’t just sulk”.
