It follows an incident earlier this month that saw a Qantas pilot on a Boeing 737 issue a mayday call on a flight bound for Sydney when one of its engines failed. On Monday, a Qantas flight from Adelaide to Perth was forced to turn around midair due to incomplete paperwork.
