State govt. is committed to ensuring industrial development in Vijayapura, says Minister

The State government is committed to developing industries in Vijayapura district, Minister for Heavy and Medium Industries M.B. He said that plans are afoot to develop the district into an industrial hub with the following sectors, energy sector equipment, machinery and equipment, non-metallic mineral products, agriculture and agro-based products, nutraceuticals, medicinal and botanical products, special alloys and metal products, getting priority. Similarly, Renaissance Company will set up a solar panel component manufacturing unit in the district with an investment of ₹6,000 crore. The work to develop the Bhutanal Lake, Begum Talab, Gol Gumbaz, Ibrahim Roja, Kumtagi Lake, Summer Palace and Karada Dodda Man-Made Forest Area in and around Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike as beautiful tourist destinations is in progress with the help of the Department of Large and Medium Industries and CSR grants,” he said. “It is planned to spend ₹20 crore out of the ₹25 crore allocated under the Amrutha-2.0 scheme jointly managed by the Central and State governments to undertake the restoration and beautification works of Begum Talab and Bhutanal lakes and to undertake the development work of 10 parks in Vijayapura city with an amount of ₹5 crore,” he added.
