The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, or TRAI, has come up with new regulations to make DTH TV more affordable. The regulation will come into effect from February 1 and will require subscribers, as well as DTH service providers, to adapt to the new system. The new regulations will change the base prices of several TV packs and service providers will have to implement the new plans to existing consumers from February 1. Which DTH service providers will be affected by the new regulations The new DTH regulation implemented by TRAI will be implied on all DTH players in the Indian market. Service providers such as Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV, D2H, Dish TV and other local DTH service providers will have to revise their rates according to the new regulations.
