'Dual-ship dual-berth' LNG unloading operation carried out in Shandong

China Daily

Two liquefied natural gas carrier vessels, Ferol and CESI Lianyungang, both from Australia, docked at the berths of Sinopec Tianranqi Company's Qingdao LNG terminal in the Dongjiakou Economic Zone on Feb 23. Sinopec Tianranqi Company's Qingdao LNG terminal, now the only operational LNG terminal in Shandong province, was Sinopec's initial foray into LNG terminal operations. In its ten-year history, the Qingdao LNG terminal has handled the unloading of over 45 million tons of LNG, providing an annual natural gas supply capacity surpassing 16.5 billion cubic meters. Sinopec Tianranqi Company's Qingdao LNG terminal, located in the Dongjiakou Economic Zone of Qingdao West Coast New Area, was the first LNG terminal constructed by Sinopec.
