More rain likely in Karnataka; yellow alert in a few districts
The HinduThe India Meteorological Department has forecast that most parts of the State, including Bengaluru, would continue to receive rainfall for the next three days. Patil, IMD, Bengaluru director, said, “The city is very likely to receive light to moderate rainfall for the next three days. Likewise, interior places in the south Karnataka are very likely to get light to moderate widespread rainfall, and the interior Karnataka in the north to experience light rainfall at isolated places.” A yellow alert has been issued for Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hasan, Kodagu, Mysuru, and Chamarajanagar districts on December 2 and 3. On Sunday, Bengaluru recorded 3.8 mm of rainfall, while HAL airport and Kempegowda International Airport recorded 7 mm and 2.2 mm of rainfall, respectively, as of 5.30 p.m. According to the IMD, the normal maximum temperature at Bengaluru city, HAL, and KIA are 27.4 degrees, 27.1 degrees, and 26.9 degrees Celsius, and on Sunday, there was a departure of 5 degrees, 3.6 degrees, and 4 degrees Celsius respectively from the normal temperature.
