Air Force officer lands in CBI net for taking ₹50,000 bribe
The HinduThe Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths from Visakhapatnam have caught Flight Lieutenant Chaitanya Kumar, Station Logistic Officer of Air Force Station at Suryalanka in Bapatla district, demanding and taking a bribe of ₹50,000 from a man to settle bills related to materials supplied. According to the CBI, the Air Force official was arrested based on the victim’s complaint and will be produced in the Special Judge Court for CBI Cases in Vijayawada on Monday, January 6. The complaint alleges that in November 2024, Chaitanya Kumar informed the victim that the Air Force Station, Suryalanka, needed 200 mattresses and asked him to quote for them through the Government e-Marketplace, the online portal.
