KEA rejects Kerala students’ petition to reschedule CET-2025

The Karnataka Examination Authority has rejected the petition submitted by two Kerala students seeking postponement of Common Entrance Test, scheduled to be held from April 15 to 17, arguing that the Good Friday week is occupied with religious ceremonies in Kerala. Students from Kerala Liya Wilson and Binsha Maria Shibu had registered for CET-2025 seeking admission for B.Sc Nursing courses in Karnataka nursing colleges. “It is in the better interest of the student community and to maintain the academic calendar for the year 2025-26 of the professional courses that CET-2025 scheduled to be held from April 15 to 17 cannot be refixed,” KEA said. It also pointed out a series of examinations for II PU, class 10, and UG-NEET scheduled to be held in March and April and rescheduling of CET-2025 would disrupt the academic calendar.
