Punjab cancels licences of 40 travel agents for sending Indians illegally to US

The licences of 40 travel agents were cancelled in Amritsar, days after India Today TV exposed the business of dubious travel agents taking exorbitant fees to make people enter countries through 'donkey routes'. So far, 17 cases have been registered, and three travel agents have been arrested," Sinha told India Today TV. "The paperwork of travel agents is being thoroughly checked across Punjab, and awareness is being spread to ensure that people do not attempt to migrate illegally, encouraging them to follow the proper legal procedures," Sinha said.
