Lawyers Abstain From Judicial Works In Jharkhand Over Alleged Attack On A Bar Association's Office Bearer
Live LawJudicial works were disrupted in Jharkhand on Monday as lawyers across the state abstained from attending courts to register their protest against the alleged attack on the president of District Bar Association, Daltonganj district by a senior judge of the local court. Registrar General of Jharkhand High Court Ambuj Nath stated, "The functioning of courts was affected as the lawyers. Registrar General of Jharkhand High Court Ambuj Nath stated, "The functioning of courts was affected as the lawyers stayed away from work. It passed a resolution stating, "It has been unanimously decided that taking into consideration the occurrence at civil court as indicated by the association's letter, all the learned lawyers in the state of Jharkhand practicing in High Courts, district courts and sub-divisional courts shall abstain from judicial works peacefully for one day as a symbolic protest against the incident reported by the district bar association Daltonganj".
