Xpeng Aeroht launches island-flying project in Hainan
China DailyThe Land Aircraft Carrier, the world's first large-scale mass-produced modular flying car, debuts in Haikou, Hainan province, on Tuesday. Xpeng Aeroht, the flying car venture of Chinese electric carmaker Xpeng, has joined forces with Hainan province to introduce the "aerial round-the-island scenic highway", ushering in a new era of island-wide flying in the tropical province. During the launch event, Xpeng Aeroht unveiled a three-step plan with the Hainan provincial development and reform commission to construct a flying car application demonstration island. The second step will see Hainan and Xpeng Aeroht collaborating to create China's first nearly 1,000-kilometer aerial round-the-island scenic highway, revolving around the island's circular scenic road and its rest stations.
