Divers have recovered one of the two black boxes from the Lion Air plane that crashed into the sea on Monday, with 189 people on board. Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said the device recovered was the flight data recorder, and the search for the other black box — the cockpit voice recorder — was ongoing. The plane's black boxes are expected to help explain why the almost-new Boeing jet went down in waters about 35 metres deep in the Java Sea.
