No foreign meddling for 1st time in 10 years before session: PM jabs Opposition

India Today

In a dig at the Opposition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that no "foreign forces" attempted to set any fire ahead of every Parliament session for the first time in 10 years. "You must have noticed, since 2014, this is probably the first Parliament session, which saw no 'videshi chingari' in our affairs, in which no foreign forces tried to ignite a fire. And many in our country leave no stone unturned to fan these sparks," PM Modi said in his customary address ahead of the Budget session, which began today. The Prime Minister said the Union Budget would pave the way for a 'Viksit Bharat' or a developed India by 2047 while underscoring that "innovation, inclusion and investment" were the key priorities of the government.
