Haridwar Police File Second FIR In Dharma Sansad 'Hate Speech' Case, 10 Booked
ABP NewsNew Delhi: The Haridwar Police have lodged a second FIR against 10 people connected with Dharma Sansad that was held in Haridwar last month where alleged hate speeches against Muslims were made by the participants. The second FIR, lodged at Jwalapur Police Station in Haridwar, was filed on the basis of a complaint lodged by a resident of the city, Nadeem Ali, according to the senior sub-inspector of Jwalapur, Nitesh Sharma. Ten people named in this second FIR were the organisers of the event and included, Yati Narsimhanand Giri, Jitendra Narayan Tyagi aka Wasim Rizvi, Sindhu Sagar, Dharamdas, Parmananda, Sadhvi Annapurna, Anand Swaroop, Ashwini Upadhyay, Suresh Chahwan, and Prabodhanand Giri, Sharma said. The BJP-led government in Uttarakhand was under pressure from all quarters to take action against the alleged hate speeches against the Muslims in the purported Dharma Sansad that was held in Haridwar between December 16 and 19.
