Pawan Kalyan to visit Polavaram project

VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan would visit the Polavaram irrigation project venue to ascertain the progress of the project and implementation of the resettlement and rehabilitation package for the project- affected people soon. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s statement in the Assembly that the government was getting ready to complete the work on the project dam at a height of 41.15 meters and provide R and R package to the project-affected people, he asked the state government whether it agreed with the Centre to keep the dam height at 41.15 metres. The Jana Sena PAC chairman said Pawan Kalyan held elaborate discussions with the BJP’s top leadership on how they aimed to make AP free from the YSR Congress rule. In a strong reaction to the statement of Jana Sena PAC chairman on the Polavaram dam height -- that AP had agreed for 41.15 metres instead of 45.72 metres, AP water resources minister Ambati Rambabu tweeted, saying that there was no truth in this.
