Trump 'must be high as hell': MSNBC hosts laugh at ex-president's latest popularity claim
Raw StoryOn Saturday morning, MSNBC "The Weekend" co-hosts Alicia Menendez and Michael Steele laughed at new claims Donald Trump recently made about how popular he is with voters. Reacting to the former president speaking to reporters earlier this week at his Mar-a-Lago resort, where he claimed he drew more people to the Washington Mall than legendary civil rights icon Martin Luther King did in1963 for his "I have a dream" speech, Steele and Menendez couldn't control their amusement at the bizarre claim. After sharing a clip of Trump talking about his speech drawing massive crowds and then adding, "My people, a lot of the MAGA as they call them, the base, I think the base is 75% of the country, far beyond the Republican party because we are a party of common sense and I am a person of common sense," Steele had a few things to say. "It is very clear Donald Trump is taking advantage of the marijuana laws of Florida because that brother must be high as hell thinking that," the laughing MSNBC host remarked causing his co-host to join in.
