Peripheral Ring Road phase II: Notices to be issued to farmers for acquiring land

The Bangalore Development Authority has written to tahlidars to issue notices to farmers whose lands have been notified for phase II of the Peripheral Ring Road between Hosur Road and Tumakuru Road. The 55-km PPR II runs between Hosur Road and Tumakuru Road via Magadi Road and Mysuru Road. Recently, the High Court of Karnataka had upheld the land acquisition of a 13.5-km stretch by the BDA and directed the authority to complete the road work. “In 2006, BDA issued a preliminary notification for 55 km of PRR 2 but the final notification was issued only for 13.5 km between Magadi Road and Mysuru Road.
