Organ transplants down 60% due to coronavirus restrictions

The number of donor organ transplants in the Netherlands has fallen by over 60% since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, putting patients’ lives at risk. The number of transplants since the introduction of the corona measures has gone down from 130 to 30 compared to the same period last year, figures published on Wednesday by the Dutch association for organ transplants NTS show.
