It comes as the White House announced on Wednesday, US time, about $1 billion worth of new weapons aid for Ukraine, including anti-ship rocket systems, artillery rockets and rounds for howitzers. The supports includes "additional artillery and coastal defence weapons, as well as ammunition for the artillery and advanced rocket systems", US President Joe Biden said in a statement from the White House after a call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
