Britain's luxury car hotspots revealed - do you live near any of top 25 areas?
Daily MailThe nation's luxury car hotspots have been revealed - and it's not just affluent parts of the capital where the super-rich are splashing out on flash motors. Unsurprisingly, Kensington and Chelsea has the highest volume of super-luxe car registrations per 1,000 property transactions in the last five years Westminster was a close second with 159 high-end motor purchases per 1,000 housing transactions in the last five years Estate agent Savills analysed new car sales data to discover which locations have registered the most vehicles from eight high-end auto brands: Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maclaren, Maserati, Porsche and Rolls-Royce However, beyond central London, the most affluent parts of the commuter zone are home to the highest concentration of super-luxe cars where ownership is more practical for wealthier households. This was ahead of the London Borough of Camden in fifth, which had 77 high-end car sales per 1,000 house transactions in the last five year, though a much higher average property value of £1.3m. Elmbridge in Surrey, which is home to towns and villages including Esher, Cobham and Weybridge - all of which are especially popular with footballers - has the highest concentration of super-luxe cars outside of London Windsor and Maidenhead in Berkshire was fourth on the list with 84 luxury motor purchases per 1,000 property transactions and an average house price of £657,509 Savills says this indicates that residents here are more likely to prioritise a fast car over an expensive house.
