Rajasthan: Tiger T-104 dies at Sajjangarh biological park a day after relocation
Hindustan TimesTiger T-104 nicknamed Chikku, who was relocated from Ranthambore tiger reserve to Sajjangarh Biological Park in Rajasthan on Tuesday, died a day later on Wednesday, officials said. District Forest Officer Ajay Chittora said that the tiger T-104 was brought to the biological park on Tuesday, where he was kept under observation. The tiger was recently declared a man-eater and after protests from locals following the alleged killing of three people, the forest department decided to shift him to Sajjangarh Biological Park in Udaipur. After declaring him a “man-eater” and “danger to humans” by the special committee constituted for the study of tiger nature, the 6-year-old tiger was kept in an enclosure at the Bid Naka area of Ranthambore and later to Udaipur on Tuesday after clearance from the National Tiger Conservation Authority.
