J&K Rifles, Delhi Police best marching contingents at R-Day parade

The marching contingent from the Army’s Jammu & Kashmir Rifles regiment was adjudged the best among the three Services while Delhi Police was adjudged the best marching contingent from among the Central Armed Police Forces and other auxiliary forces at the Republic Day parade on Sunday. The tableau from Ministry of Tribal Affairs, “Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh”, was declared the best among Central Ministries and departments. In this category, the best marching contingent among Services was the Army’s Signals contingent, with the Central Reserve Police Force emerging the best among CAPFs and other auxiliary forces. From States and U.T.s, Gujarat with “Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas” stood first, Uttar Pradesh came second and Uttarakhand, which showcased its cultural heritage and adventure sports facilities, finished third.
