Instagram extends Reels video length to 30 seconds, lets users trim and delete clips

Instagram has announced new updates for its TikTok-like short video feature, Reels. While it’s still early, we’re seeing a lot of entertaining, creative content," said Instagram Reels Director, Tessa Lyons-Laing. While the Head of Instagram, Adam Moserri tweeted, "You’ve been asking for more options to create and edit reels and we hope this give you more ways to have fun with them. According to the mobile app data analytics firm Sensor Tower, Reels did not gain enough traction, at least in the US since the time it was launched in August. The number of installs by US users of Instagram from August 5 to September 15 was 4.7 million, the same number as from June 24 to August 4, according to Sensor Tower.
