BJP will demolish all slums if it comes to power in Delhi, says Arvind Kejriwal
The HinduThe politics over slums intensified in the National Capital on Sunday with the Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal challenging Home Minister Amit Shah that he will not contest the Delhi Assembly election if the latter withdraws within 24 hours all cases registered against slum dwellers in the last 10 years and resettles them, who have been evicted, at their original areas. They won’t even wait for two days,” Mr. Kejriwal said at a slum cluster in Shakur Basti of north Delhi. Model slum Earlier on Sunday, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva visited Nehru Camp in the Patparganj constituency during the BJP’s slum outreach campaign. “It is regrettable that, despite various claims made by Arvind Kejriwal, the earnings of Delhi’s poor slum-dwelling families are consumed entirely by electricity bills and the cost of buying water,” he said.
