Chennai Metro Rail’s Phase II stations to get upgraded ticket vending machines

After problems with the existing ticket vending machines, Chennai Metro Rail Limited plans to upgrade them soon, both in the Phase I Network and the upcoming Phase II Project. For many years now, Metro Rail riders have been facing difficulty in using the ticket vending machines at many of the stations since they are either defunct or only offer smart card top-up services. According to officials of Chennai Metro Rail Limited, the machines installed in the Phase I Network suffered from constant payment problems. Hence, we decided to installed the upgraded ticket vending machines in the Phase II Project.
